Capsule System
If you’re not familiar with Nespresso before buying this machine, take note and realize that this machine, along with other Nespresso machines, uses coffee capsules available directly through Nespresso. The small aluminum capsules hold about 5.5g of coffee each. The Nespresso D90 Essenza was built around these pods and you cannot use your own coffee grounds. You can easily insert the capsules into the machine and they automatically eject into a capsule container that holds them when they’re spent. The Nespresso D90 Essenza comes with an assortment of 12 different coffee varieties for you to try. Nespresso also offers decaffeinated capsules. The simple system perforates the capsule and ensures all the groudns are soaked for optimum filtering and taste.
Usability
Like other models in the Essenza line, the Nespresso D90 Essenza is user-friendly without distracting knobs and buttons. This machine is manual, meaning that you have to manually control how much espresso is brewed into the cup. With the removable water container, automatic ejection of capsules and practical design you will be able to use this machine with little effort.
