Here’s our new article on DeLonghi coffee makers and as promised this one will tell you a little more about the DeLonghi Nespresso Lattissima Espresso machine. These machines, as the name suggests, of course use the Nespresso capsules. They are capable of making lattes and cappucinos too thanks to the milk reservoir, which you can remove and place in the fridge. You don’t have to buy capsules for extra milk (such as with the Nescafe Dolce Gusto systems). Okay so let’s see what’s for you here.

NOTE: At the time we’re writing this, you SHOULD really look at the Amazon prices below (just click and you’ll reach the right product). Why? Well, just check the prices, we have listed the models in order of size/features. The first one (EN520) should be the smallest/entry model while the bigger one/most advanced (EN720) is at the end. But you can see the EN520, EN660 and EN670 priced almost the same at around $400!

We had to modify it a little bit because the website allows comparison for 3 products at a time, and sometimes they call a feature differently for a model while it actually is the same. Here are few tips and other things to consider to help you out with this table.
Main features share with all Nespresso Lattissima models
- 19 bar pump pressure to prepare some delicious espresso from the Nespresso capsules.
- patented Single Touch hot milk system allows you to make lattes and capuccino easily.
- removable milk carafe which you will get some lattes and cappuccinos from.
- memory function for espresso, cappucino, latte, lungo and macchiato.
- Illuminated control panel will allow you toeasily select your favorite drink with 2 coffees and 2 milks (3 for the EN520)
- Adjustable drip tray (just slide to accomadate with various cup sizes)
- Easy to clean: removable drip tray, removable water tank and removable used capsule container.
- Energy saving mode: automatically switch off with adjustable timer
Differences:
- Water container capacity: datas are inaccurate, it seems they kept the “liters” instead of “ounces”. So the DeLonghi Nespresso Lattissima EN520 has a 30 ounces capacity water tank, and all the others have a 40 ounces one.
- Model names and colors: Some of these models are available in several color options. Their reference changes but these are still the same exact models. For example the EN520.R is for red, EN520.BL is for blue, there’s also white and silver.
- No cup warmer on EN520.
- No “Empty Tank, and “Full Capsule Container” indicator on all models except EN720.
What DeLonghi Nespresso Lattissima Espresso Machine To Choose?
With a so small price difference between the smallest EN520, EN660 and EN670 models, there’s no reason to go for the bigger models, except if you need to save some sace on the counter. The little variations and additional features you can get on superior models are certainly handy and make the machine even easier to use, but with a Nespresso system, there’s really nothing too complicated to operate any of these machines.
If you can’t live with little indicators then sure you may need the EN720, otherwise the models under this one have everything you already need.
Now remember these machines ONLY work with Nespresso capsules so if you were looking for machines that can handle both capsules and ground coffee these won’t do the job.
The DeLonghi Nespresso Lattissima espresso machines are certainly great machines for Nespresso capsules and if you were looking for effective and well performing machines to prepare various milked drinks and espressos, then these are great choices.
